Custom Kitchen and Restoration Stone Ridge House
We completely restored this eyebrow colonial in Stone Ridge after a fire. The owners used the opportunity to create a new kitchen and primary bedroom addition. The cabinets were made to match the owner’s favorite designs.
Kitchen Restoration and Millwork
The kitchen is entirely new construction after this home was damaged by a fire. We put in the windows, made all of the cabinets and trim, created the panel for the dishwasher, and fabricated the reclaimed heart pine flooring, which we bleached to get the precise color the homeowner was looking for. The Lecanche oven helps bring it all together along with the soapstone counters, and custom sink. The walls are all hand finished plaster.
Making the room ready for lighting
Similarly in the dining room, we redid all of the floors to match, and also routed the track for the track lighting. In an old home like this, it required carefully creating a template for the router in order to keep it straight, when the ceiling isn’t perfectly flat.
Custom Bathroom Molding, Panels and Millwork
In the addition, which is all new construction, we wanted to make sure that we faithfully reproduced the era of the house. We made all of the panels, each one hand planed along with the molding details. It’s hard to tell in the photo, but that detail makes the space feel very special. We built a hidden medicine cabinet above the toilet as well.
Bedroom Addition
As in the rest of the project, we made the flooring out of reclaimed heart pine, as well as the clinch nail door to ensure it matches the era of the home and the original doors in the space. There’s also a peg rail behind the door we made to fit the room.
Expanded Room with Radiant Floor Heating
This room had most of the original flooring, but we refinished and treated it the same as the other floors and added the expansion you see to the right with flooring that we created. We added radiant floor heat, super insulated the room and gave the homeowners a larger sitting room than they had before.
